Principal
Fanny Chu is a Principal at FLSV with nearly 30 years of experience in accounting, tax, and consulting services. Since joining the firm in 1996, she has played a key role in driving client success and supporting the firm’s growth. Over the course of her career, she has advanced from staff accountant to trusted advisor, working extensively with hedge funds, private equity firms, and middle-market businesses across a broad range of financial and operational matters.
Fanny specializes in business consulting for middle-market companies, as well as strategic planning for start-ups and management entities across various industries. Her expertise spans high-level tax planning, financial budgeting, and external CFO services. She also has deep experience in foreign reporting and compliance, including advising on transition tax, GILTI, and entity restructurings to assess and manage tax exposure.
Known for her responsiveness and collaborative style, Fanny delivers clear, practical guidance on complex financial matters. She is valued for her long-standing client relationships, built on trust and dependability, and is a respected mentor and strategic resource within the firm.
Outside the office, Fanny enjoys traveling and visiting theme parks—especially Disney—with her two adult children. She is currently pursuing a personal goal: learning to play the piano on the same instrument her daughter once played.
Adam Fisher, CPA, JD

As a Partner at FLSV, Adam Fisher brings a multifaceted perspective shaped by more than two decades of tax advisory and legal experience. With a background in both accounting and law, Adam specializes in advising clients across the private equity, asset management, financial services, and real estate sectors, among others. His work spans the full spectrum of business tax services, including international tax, M&A, tax controversy, provisions, business formation, and succession planning.
Since joining FLSV in 2018, Adam has played a pivotal role in leading client engagement teams. He is known for helping clients navigate complex tax situations while also strengthening their relationships with partners, investors, and shareholders.
Adam believes that building trust and transparency is essential to every client relationship. His approach involves gaining a deep understanding of a client’s business motivations, goals, and broader operations so that his tax advice is aligned with long-term strategies. He aims to empower clients to make the most informed decisions possible.
In addition to client service, Adam helps lead several firmwide initiatives at FLSV. He manages the firm’s WTS Global relationship, helps guide internal quality and risk management processes, and supports firm growth through training, marketing, and team staffing.
Outside of the office, Adam serves as a trustee on the Wantagh Union Free School District Board of Education, where he has been elected to three consecutive terms since 2017. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, collecting New York Yankees and Islanders sports memorabilia, and attending concerts and movies. Among his favorite movies is the comedy classic, Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Alan T. Frankel, CPA, MST, CFP®
Founding Partner
As a Founding Partner of FLSV, Alan Frankel brings more than four decades of experience delivering creative, forward-looking tax solutions. He co-manages the Business Tax Services Group and Private Client Services Group, advising private equity funds, financial services firms, and their respective principals, as well as executives in music publishing, media, entertainment, middle market companies, and real estate.
Specializing in tax structuring, M&A, estate and gift planning, business formation, and succession planning, Alan has guided clients through some of their most pivotal moments. He is often brought in early to help clients think through complex transactions and strategic decisions—offering strategic insight, identifying and solving complex tax planning strategies.
A key driver in shaping FLSV’s entrepreneurial culture, Alan has grown alongside many clients as they scale from startups to billion-dollar enterprises. He understands what founders and business owners face and brings that perspective to every engagement.
Alan is a proud husband and father of two daughters and is a passionate history enthusiast and baseball fan. He earned a Certificate of Higher Education in History from the University of Oxford and is an avid reader. A lesser-known fact – Alan is a skilled Card Magician.
Iraida Strokovskaya, CPA
Partner
As Partner, Iraida brings nearly three decades of experience to FLSV’s Business Tax Services Group. She provides comprehensive tax planning and compliance services to a wide range of clients, including private equity funds, financial services firms, and their executives, and closely held businesses. She also works with companies and executives in the entertainment and music publishing industries.
Iraida helps clients navigate federal, state, and local taxation and advises on corporate and partnership structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and international tax considerations. Iraida works closely with clients to understand the full picture of their operations and long-term goals, tailoring strategies that support both growth and continuity.
Iraida’s career journey—from starting at FLSV as an entry-level professional to becoming a Partner—is a reflection of her dedication, leadership, and deep roots within the firm. Playing a key role in mentoring professionals across the firm, she contributes to fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture at FLSV.
Outside of work, Iraida enjoys spending time with her family. She is passionate about travel, art, and architecture, and has a soft spot for animals. A cultural enthusiast at heart, she finds inspiration in museums and theater.
Charles J. Vallone, JD
Founding Partner
As a Founding Partner of FLSV, Charles Vallone brings more than 30 years of experience in tax strategy, planning, and advisory. He co-manages the firm’s Business Services Group and Private Client Services Group, where he serves a wide array of clients, including closely held businesses, investment partnerships, private equity and hedge funds, and family offices. Charles advises clients on cross-border tax planning, state and local taxes, and generational wealth strategies.
In addition to leading strategic planning for clients, Charles plays a key role in firmwide business development and executive decision-making. As one of FLSV’s founding partners, he helps cultivate a culture rooted in integrity, proactivity, and long-term relationships. He believes that the firm’s continued growth is a testament to the trust FLSV builds with every client.
Outside the office, Charles is a true family man. He enjoys traveling the world with his family, having visited over 35 countries, and has his sights set on bucket-list destinations like Antarctica and Easter Island. You will likely find him on the tennis court, often competing in local tennis leagues, or on the golf course when he’s not exploring new cultures.
Lee Zager, CPA
Principal
As a Principal at FLSV in the Business Tax Services Group, Lee Zager brings over two decades of experience providing tax and advisory services to private equity funds, investment partnerships, family offices, real estate investment funds, and middle market businesses. He specializes in federal, state, local, and international tax structuring and compliance, with expertise in business formation and foreign tax compliance and planning strategies.
Lee leads with a proactive, relationship-driven approach. He regularly speaks with clients to build trust and identify important details that go beyond the numbers. These dialogues allow him to better understand his clients’ goals, concerns, and evolving needs to craft holistic, forward-looking tax strategies.
He joined FLSV in 2011 as a Senior Manager and was quickly promoted to Principal. Lee appreciates the firm’s supportive culture, which trusts and empowers FLSV team members to grow and deliver excellent client service.
Outside the office, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. They are a Disney family, visiting the parks annually with matching shirts in tow. He also plays in a local basketball league, enjoys traveling and wine tasting—especially in Napa Valley—and embraces his role as a full-time chauffeur and cheerleader to kids’ sports and dance activities.
Yuan (Nicole) Zhang, CPA

As a Principal in FLSV’s Business Tax Services Group, Nicole brings more than a decade of experience in tax planning and compliance. She specializes in working with closely held operating businesses and investment entities, including private equity funds, partnerships, and corporations. Nicole’s clients span a range of industries—from music publishing to financial services—and she is known for her detail-oriented, strategic approach to guiding them through complex federal, state, and local tax matters.
Nicole helps clients align their financial strategies with long-term business goals by advising on audits, intangible asset purchases, M&A transactions, and tax structuring. Joseph F. Tudisco, CPA
Partner
Joe Tudisco is a Partner at FLSV and leads the firm’s Accounting Services Group. Since joining the firm in 2000, he has played a central role in expanding its outsourced accounting, family office, and private client services. He works with a range of clients, including management companies, investment partnerships, family-owned businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and professional service firms.
Joe focuses on helping clients improve financial processes, implement governance structures, and find efficient solutions tailored to their needs. By working closely with his clients’ other advisors, Joe and his team can ensure a smooth and successful engagement.
Joe values his relationships with clients. He often serves as more than just an advisor, helping clients find financial clarity through routine operations and major life events. He is dedicated to mentoring staff and guiding professional development.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling—especially to Italy—is an avid sports fan, and enjoys spending quality time with the family. He’s also a founding member of a local poker league that builds friendships and fosters camaraderie in his neighborhood.

With over 25 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, she serves as the primary point of contact for her clients, guiding them through complex tax matters with a hands-on and proactive approach.
Beyond her client work, Gina plays an integral role in firm operations, including staffing and mentoring. As a member of the Technology Champions Group, she has contributed to the firm’s tax technology transformation.
Outside the office, Gina is an avid sports fan and loves being outdoors. She proudly supports the New York Islanders and the New York Mets. In 2024, she crossed off her number one bucket list item: touring Italy from Venice to the Amalfi Coast. She is also learning to speak Italian!
Samantha Barbieri, CPA, Principal

As a Principal in FLSV’s Private Client Services Group, Samantha brings over a decade of experience in tax planning and compliance. She applies a strategic and forward-thinking approach to helping high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals navigate complex tax issues and develop customized solutions. Samantha focuses on building strong relationships with her clients and takes the time to understand their full financial picture.
Samantha also plays a key role as a member of FLSV’s Tax Technology Champions Group. She helps to integrate new software that enhances efficiency and streamlines processes to ensure we provide our clients with the best-in-class service.
Away from the office, Samantha embraces adventure. She has hiked through Chile’s Patagonia region, skied the Austrian Alps and Italian Dolomites, and continues to seek out new, challenging destinations. At home, she indulges in her love for cooking, a passion inspired by her father, a professional chef.
Patty Bo, CPA, CFP®, MBA

As a Partner at FLSV, Patty brings over three decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on tax, estate, and financial planning matters. After beginning her career at Morgan Stanley, where she provided tax compliance and planning services to senior executives, Patty joined FLSV at inception. Patty’s clients include entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and C-suite leaders—many of whom have worked with her for decades.
Patty’s expertise spans estate and gift tax planning, family office services, trust taxation, and federal and state residency audits. She is known for her responsive, collaborative approach and for guiding clients through complex financial decisions with clarity and care. Whether advising on a major gift, reviewing a tax notice, or coordinating with attorneys and wealth managers, Patty is a trusted advisor who understands her client’s full picture.
Patty credits much of her career success to FLSV’s collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. As she puts it, the firm has always empowered her to grow, explore new areas, and build long-term connections with clients and colleagues.
Outside of the office, Patty enjoys traveling the world, hiking, and playing tennis and pickleball. Her favorite adventures include visiting Iceland, Norway, and Alaska to experience glaciers and remote landscapes. Lauren Crow, CPA

As a Principal in FLSV’s Private Client Services Group, Lauren brings over 25 years of experience in tax planning, estate strategy, and client advisory. She works closely with high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and C-suite executives—helping them navigate complex tax issues while aligning financial strategies with life goals. Known for her thoughtful, team-oriented approach, Lauren prioritizes building lasting relationships and empowering both clients and staff through proactive collaboration.
Lauren’s client service philosophy centers on understanding each client’s complete picture. Through regular strategy sessions, she gains insight into their evolving priorities—whether planning for retirement, transitioning wealth to the next generation, or reevaluating financial goals. She often works in tandem with clients’ attorneys and financial advisors to ensure seamless, comprehensive planning that extends beyond just tax compliance.
Beyond her client work, Lauren is deeply invested in developing people. She mentors emerging professionals, supports career coaching, and helps guide staff in setting and achieving meaningful goals. She also champions innovation and efficiency, serving as the firm’s point person for SafeSend and contributing to integrating new technologies that elevate client service and optimize internal processes.
Outside the office, Lauren is an avid equestrian and certified yoga instructor. In her free time, she teaches horseback riding and occasionally yoga—two passions that keep her grounded and energized.

As a founding partner of FLSV, Seth Starr leads the firm’s Private Client Services Group. With over four decades of experience in personal tax, estate, and wealth planning, he is a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families, including investment banking professionals, hedge fund and private equity fund managers, entrepreneurs, and multi-generational family groups.
Seth’s expertise spans complex tax planning, generational estate strategies, philanthropic and retirement planning, and representation before federal and state tax authorities. Known for his personal, proactive approach, he serves as the point of contact for many longstanding clients, guiding them year-round and coordinating with their broader advisory teams, including attorneys, investment professionals, and insurance consultants.
Seth’s leadership is deeply rooted in relationships—he’s known as more than just an advisor, but as a friend. He invests time in understanding what matters most to his clients. Seth strives to be a caring mentor, helping junior staff prioritize workloads and navigate challenges with the same care and dedication he provides tohis clients. His collaborative, team-first leadership style has helped shape FLSV’s strong culture.
Outside the office, Seth is an enthusiastic cyclist who enjoys international bike trips with his wife Laurie through Backroads Active Travel. He remains active in a local softball league and regularly plays tennis. Seth’s early lessons in connection and communication came from his family’s toy business, where he worked weekends at flea markets and watched his parents and grandparents—his greatest mentors—interact with their customers.
Prior to co-founding the Firm, Seth honed his personal tax expertise through his senior positions as Vice President and Tax Director of the Individual Tax Group at Morgan Stanley, a position he held for six years, and as a Senior Tax Manager for eight years at E&Y (Ernst and Young) LLP.
Seth received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Accounting from SUNY Albany and a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Pace University. He is a Certified Financial Planner and holds both the Series 7 and Series 63 Security Licenses. He is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has been a guest on National Public Radio, a lecturer at professional tax and financial planning conferences and an Adjunct Professor at a financial planning institution.
James (Jim) Toto, CPA

As a Partner in FLSV’s Private Client Services Group, Jim brings more than three decades of experience serving individuals and families with complex financial needs. His focus is on tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals, with specialized expertise in trust and estate planning, retirement planning, executive compensation, and after-tax cash flow analysis. Over the years, Jim has worked extensively with clients in real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and financial services.
Known for his calm, observant approach, Jim builds enduring relationships by truly understanding each client’s unique financial picture—something he believes takes time, trust, and a lot of listening. He manages expectations by being direct and timely with communication, particularly when delivering important or sensitive tax updates.
Jim is key in advancing the firm’s tax technology initiatives and overseeing operations within the Private Clients Services Group. He is also passionate about developing future firm leaders by creating more opportunities for senior team members to take on responsibility on engagements.
Outside of the office, Jim enjoys watching baseball—whether it’s on TV or in person. He’s also a music enthusiast and used to play bass in a band fittingly named The Current Liabilities. Jim also volunteers for the Jersey Shore Animal Foundation.
Reed J. Yanofsky, CPA, MST

With more than 25 years of experience in both public and private accounting, Reed serves as a Principal in the firm’s Private Client Services Group, offering clients a well-rounded and pragmatic approach to tax planning, compliance, and representation. His dynamic background enables him to deliver practical, business-minded solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Reed serves high-net-worth individuals and families, investment banking senior executives, and the entities connected to their financial portfolios. He takes a thoughtful, relationship-driven approach to client service. By understanding their complete financial picture, he develops strategies for families across generations.
Reed manages the full lifecycle of client engagements—from initial planning through final review—and plays a key role in team development. He’s a strong advocate for delegation and mentorship, helping staff take ownership of their work and build meaningful client relationships.
Outside of work, Reed enjoys spending time with his wife. These days, he finds joy in life’s quieter rhythms, embracing the role of observer and supporter among those closest to him.

Adrianna Jimenez
Director of Office Administration and Property Management
With over two decades of experience in office operations and administration, Adrianna Jimenez serves as the Director of Office Administration and Property Management at FLSV. Since joining the firm in 2004, she has played an integral role in the firm’s growth and day-to-day functionality.
Adrianna oversees various responsibilities critical to the firm’s internal operations. She manages payroll and employee benefits, leads onboarding for all new hires, coordinates firmwide events, and ensures the smooth functioning of property management across FLSV’s owned facilities. From vendor relationships and facilities compliance to insurance oversight and software implementation, Adrianna is the “go-to” person who keeps everything running. She also supports internal communications and plays a vital role in cross-departmental initiatives, often stepping in to lead execution on key operational projects.
Adrianna enjoys the variety and fluidity of her role and values the firm’s family-oriented culture. She works closely with FLSV’s founding partners and appreciates the opportunity to maintain meaningful, personal connections across the organization.
Outside the office, Adrianna is an active volunteer in her church’s youth ministry and occasionally teaches swim lessons—a nod to her love for the water. A self-described beach girl, she also enjoys music, dancing, and dreams of vacationing in the Maldives.
Rachal N. Kelly, CPA
Director of Human Resources
As Director of Human Resources at FLSV, Rachal Kelly brings over two decades of experience at the intersection of accounting and human capital management. With a background in public accounting and a CPA designation, Rachal provides a unique blend of financial acumen and people-focused insight to her role leading the firm’s HR function.
Rachal oversees all facets of human resources for FLSV, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and training and development. From campus outreach and experienced hires to mentoring and policy development, she plays a central role in cultivating the firm’s people strategy and sustaining its distinctive, people-first culture.
Before transitioning into HR, Rachal began her career in tax at Ernst & Young, working alongside FLSV’s founding partners early in her career. Her experience in accounting firms of all sizes gives her a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of professional services organizations.
Outside the office, Rachal is an avid traveler and proud mom of two adult children. She has visited more than 30 countries—often with her kids in tow—and always has her next adventure planned. Whether hiking in Peru, exploring Croatia, or strolling the streets of Prague, Rachal finds joy in discovering new places and cultures.
Ruth A. Kessman, CPA
Partner, Director of Finance
As a Partner and Director of Finance at FLSV, Ruth Kessman brings over two decades of financial leadership experience spanning private equity, venture capital, and public accounting. Since joining the firm in 2017, she has played a dual role—leading the firm’s internal financial operations and serving as a strategic advisor to select clients in the private equity and entertainment sectors.
Ruth oversees FLSV’s accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis, while also helping clients make informed business decisions. Known for her practical, solution-oriented mindset, Ruth believes that meaningful financial guidance begins with listening. She takes a holistic approach with each client, combining her technical expertise with a deep understanding of their business goals.
Beyond the office, Ruth is actively involved with Life’s Angels, a nonprofit supporting families in crisis, where she coordinates summer camp programs for children living in temporary housing. She enjoys boot camp workouts and trail running and has recently set her sights on learning pickleball. She also loves traveling with her family—Japan is next on their bucket list.
Pradeep Pillai
Director of IT
Pradeep Pillai is a seasoned IT Director with over 20 years of progressive experience in enterprise IT leadership, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity. At FLSV, he oversees the firm’s full technology ecosystem, including hybrid infrastructure operations, endpoint security, and the application lifecycle strategy.
Known for his hands-on expertise and strategic leadership, Pradeep aligns technology initiatives with business goals while driving innovation, resilience, and operational efficiency. He leads a high-performing IT team and spearheads major projects that enhance both security posture and service delivery.
Prior to joining FLSV, Pradeep held senior roles in financial and mortgage institutions, where he led large-scale digital transformations, cloud migrations, and end-to-end redesigns of network, datacenter, and security architecture – including the development and enforcement of IT policies, compliance frameworks, and access controls. He also managed enterprise-level support teams across national operations.
