Fanny Chu

Principal

Fanny Chu is a Principal at FLSV with nearly 30 years of experience in accounting, tax, and consulting services. Since joining the firm in 1996, she has played a key role in driving client success and supporting the firm’s growth. Over the course of her career, she has advanced from staff accountant to trusted advisor, working extensively with hedge funds, private equity firms, and middle-market businesses across a broad range of financial and operational matters.

Fanny specializes in business consulting for middle-market companies, as well as strategic planning for start-ups and management entities across various industries. Her expertise spans high-level tax planning, financial budgeting, and external CFO services. She also has deep experience in foreign reporting and compliance, including advising on transition tax, GILTI, and entity restructurings to assess and manage tax exposure.

Known for her responsiveness and collaborative style, Fanny delivers clear, practical guidance on complex financial matters. She is valued for her long-standing client relationships, built on trust and dependability, and is a respected mentor and strategic resource within the firm.

Outside the office, Fanny enjoys traveling and visiting theme parks—especially Disney—with her two adult children. She is currently pursuing a personal goal: learning to play the piano on the same instrument her daughter once played.
