Yuan (Nicole) Zhang

As a Principal in FLSV’s Business Tax Services Group, Nicole brings more than a decade of experience in tax planning and compliance. She specializes in working with closely held operating businesses and investment entities, including private equity funds, partnerships, and corporations. Nicole’s clients span a range of industries—from music publishing to financial services—and she is known for her detail-oriented, strategic approach to guiding them through complex federal, state, and local tax matters.

Nicole helps clients align their financial strategies with long-term business goals by advising on audits, intangible asset purchases, M&A transactions, and tax structuring. Known for her proactive, transparent approach, she builds trust-based relationships and works closely with clients’ legal and financial teams to ensure a thorough understanding of their tax position. Her up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and GAAP standards makes her a valued resource for executives and business owners.

Outside of the office, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, who definitely keep life fun and busy. They often hike together as a family; one of her bucket list goals is to hike in as many national parks as possible. She also has a passion for baking and, of course, the kids never complain about having treats around the house! Family, good food, and a bit of adventure are all Nicole needs to be happy.
